With Christmas just around the corner, geeks all over are preparing their wish lists. These lists normally contain the latest and hottest gadgets that was released during the year, and this year was another year that was filled with the release of some of the greatest new tech gadgets.
Here are some of the great gadgets that are on my wish list or I already own:
Xbox Kinect
The Xbox Kinect must be the greatest gadget of the year, it has changed the way we do gaming by turning you into the controller. I have been fortunate enough to have been able to play with the Kinect the past week and all I can say is WOW! If you love casual gaming and getting a great workout while playing then the Xbox Kinect is for you. Xbox Kinect has already sold more than 2.5 million units in less than a month, so that should speak for itself.
Apple iPad
The Apple iPad will for sure be on the list of every iGeek out there this Christmas. The Apple iPad is a revolutionary product that changed the way we consume the web, read books and watch videos. I was sceptic at first but since I have had my iPad I can’t believe how I could live without it, it just simplifies your life specially if you are on the go.
Xbox 360 Elite
The Xbox 360 Elite is the latest version of the popular Xbox console by Microsoft, it is leaner, has built-in WiFi, a new glossy black finish with a 250GB HDD and Kinect Ready.

The Samsung Galaxy S with its iPhone like design is powered by the popular Android platform, features a 1GHz processor and the world largest AMOLED screen. This is definitely a must have seeing as it was awarded the best smartphone of 2010-2011 at the annual EISA Awards. If you are a die hard Android fan this one comes recommended.
Garmin Nüvi 1410
My cheap o GPS has served me well over the past couple of years, but if I had to choose a new GPS the Garmin Nüvi 1410 will be mu first choice. It has a massive 12.7cm screen with features such as text to speech, bluetooth and live traffic updates.
Apple Macbook Pro
The Apple Macbook Pro has to be the must have for every true geek, I know I want one really bad. It comes in sizes ranging from 13″ to 17″, has a 10 hour battery life with the latest Intel CPU’s the i5 and i7 ensuring it has enough processing power to handle just about anything. If that is not enough it also come standard with 4GB RAM and next generation NVIDIA graphics.
