This morning Google launched their long awaited Street View for South Africa just ahead of the World Cup, and since then just about everybody has been playing around with it and visiting places they wish they could really visit.

With every new service launched a new opportunity opens up for someone else, and this is where Marc Forrest took initiative by launching a site called StreetViewSA.

StreetViewSA allows users to submit any local street view images they found for others to see, anything from outrageous to people waving, to accidents or fires of images taken by the Streetview Cars around South Africa.

The idea is brilliant and I already submitted a Street View of Newlands Stadium.

So next time you see something funny, interesting or bizarre on Google Street View South Africa be sure to submit it the the StreetViewSA directory.

Looks like the guys over at MAD TV predicted the Apple iPad long before Apple even knew it would launch it.
