Seacom the new undersea cable operator bringing more bandwidth to Africa has officialy launched their blog today. Users can visit the blog for up to date news about the Seacom cable.

The site is not only a blog but contains galleries about the contruction of the cable and the landing stations. There is also a forum available where any user can discuss anything from bandwidth usage to investment opertunities. The site also boasts a application to help get your ISP on the bandwagon for cheaper international bandwidth, you simply fill out the questions and Seacom will contact your ISP regarding access on the cable.

Apple yesterday released their 3rd version of the OS for their popular iPhone.

The free iPhone OS 3.0 software update includes some great new features, like to long awaited MMS support and even enables you to run next generation iPhone apps like peer-to-peer gaming.

A few of the new features includes Cut, Copy and Paste,  Landscape keyboard layout, MMS support,  Voice Memos, Spotlight search and internet tethering capabilities.

Acourding to a study done by the Medical Research Councel of South Africa 1 in 4 men in South Africa are rapists.

Of those surveyed, 28% said they had raped a woman or girl, and 3% said they had raped a man or boy. Almost half who said they had carried out a rape admitted they had done so more than once, with 73% saying they had carried out their first assault before the age of 20.

But where I think this study fails is that it was only conducted in 2 provinces with 1 738 men. The two provinces being Eastern Cape and Kwazulu-Natal, the provinces with the highest level of HIV and disbelieves amongst certain cultures like having unprotected sex with a virgin wil cure you of HIV Aids.

How can you acuse a quarter of SA men being rapists when your study was not conducted correctly? Perhaps if the study was done in all the provinces with a much larger group of men that statement would have been correct.

So after some struggling with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 not allowing me to run a script that drops a database and recreates it again because there is still active connections on the database I came up with this solution.
