The Tablet wars are really heating up at the moment, with a whole line-up of new tablets to be released during this year it may be no surprise that Samsung could be working on a new version of their popular Android powered tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab.

A video and specs has surfaced on video sharing website YouTube introducing the Galaxy Tab 2, the successor to the Galaxy Tab but whether this is real is debateable, I tend to be a bit sceptic.

Here are the listed specs for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, but do take it with a pinch of salt as it has not been confirmed:

  • Android 2.3 Gingerbread (with the option of upgrading to Honeycomb)
  • 3D display after upgrade to Honeycomb
  • NVIDIA Tegra 2 chip
  • Gorilla Glass display
  • 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with dual-LED flash
  • 1080p video recording
  • 3-megapixel front-facing camera
  • 3G
  • USB port
  • Wi-Fi b/g/n
  • Bluetooth 3.0
  • 64GB internal memory
  • microSD card slot
  • 1GB of RAM
  • Accelerometer
  • Compass
  • Barometer
  • 7-inch 2048 x 1200 Super AMOLED Plus display

What do you think? Could this be the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 2?
