Vodacom is giving all you die hard Apple iPhone fans the chance to be one of the first South Africans to own an Apple iPhone 4.
The new iPhone 4 is the latest smartphone from Apple which sports rear and front facing cameras, runs the new iOS 4 operating system and has the all new Retina Display which ensures for a resolution of 960×640 with 326 pixels per inch.
Despite the fact the new iPhone 4 has a design flaw resulting in it loosing signal when holding it “incorrectly”, many die hard Apple fans still want one.
South Africans can currently import the iPhone 4 from overseas but that will result in its warranty not being valid in South Africa and if something should go wrong with your iPhone 4 you will need to ship it back overseas to get it fixed.
Good news for local Apple iPhone fans is that Vodacom has now opened up pre-orders of the iPhone 4. If you would like to be one of the first people to get your hands on an iPhone 4 that came through the correct channels, you can now pre-order your iPhone 4 here.
You don’t need to be a Vodacom subscriber to make a pre-order. According to Vodacom CEOÂ Pieter Uys, the Apple iPhone 4 is expected in South Africa somewhere near the end of September. MTN subscribers can also look forward to the iPhone 4 from this year.

Thanks for the update, I just got my Blackberry 9700 Bold and its awesome, not really a iPhone fan, but this model sounds interesting, guess we will have to wait and see
I have confirmed with the istore in Sandton, they will uphold the warranty for imported iphone 4′s when it launches in this country, as they do carry international warranties.
Your information is misleading the masses into purchasing from you and paying premium prices when they could get it cheaper overseas.
I mean Vodacoms premium pricing.
