A red card to Khune, South African goal keeper, in a match between Bafana Bafana and Uruguy left many fans in anger.
What do you think? Should South African goal keeper Khune have been red carded?

an emphatic NO.
Khune was covering the shot and the guy just clipped Khune’s foot.
Besides, was it not offside because the ball deflected off the Uruguay player?
Agree Phillip, that should not have been a red card. Bafana did not play good but must say the ref also had it in for us.
I think it was fair besides you can clearly tell the decision was made by those watcing from the birds eye the ref was being givien feed on what to do via earphones you can even tell that that decision was not made by the ref alone. People must not forget that the ref are not able to see everything that goes on down on the pitch they are given help by others. Thsts why South African Coach was silent he knew his keeper was in the wrong. That ref must be left alone and that was brave of him that keeper deserved a yellow card though however we must realise Sotuh Africa played very poor and it was brutal. They played carelessly
Please watch carefully from 00:14 sec and exactly at 00:21 you can see the ref nodding his head to who, the voices in the earphone why do you think they have them on?
fouling anyone in a break away goal scoring opportunity is an automatic send off…… the keeper clearly went for the player …..not the ball….. not even open to interpretation……….it’s the rule…..sorry
