The HTC Desire is probably one of the most anticipated smartphones to hit the South African shore this April, this is largely due to the fact that we won’t be getting the Google Nexus One here in South Africa.

The HTC Desire is the smartphone from HTC that will compete head on with the Google Nexus One, in fact it is almost a exact replica of the Google Nexus one with just a small cosmetic difference, other than that everything is exactly the same under the hood.

Here is a first look at the HTC Desire due to hit the South African market in April 2010.
