Just saw that Chris over at iMod did a post about setting up MXit on your iPhone so I decided I might as well do one about setting up mxit on Android seeing that I just got my HTC Hero yesterday.
So for those of you using a Android based phone, here’s how to get MXit on it.
Open up your browser and head on over to http://www.mxit.com/wap
Follow the link to the Android Market where it will show you the MXit download
Choose MXit from the Android Market
Choose install and wait for the notification that it downloaded successfully then open it up.
Thats it folks, now enjoy MXit on your Android based phone.

Hi Sedick, yes mxit works very well with the hero, if you are interested in the hero you should check out the new htc legend available beginning of April this year, search my site for more info.
I have been trying for a month to get mxit on my htc tatoo and if i go in to the “click here to open android market” then it does not find it. So what can I do to get mxit on my htc tatoo?
Hi Yolandi, have you tried going through the Android market directly? Go to your menu and open up Market, its icon is a white bag with a green android on. Just search for mxit there and install.
Mxit is not there. That is why I came here to ask. HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!
Yolandi on your phone go to http://www.leaf.co.za/openmarket download the open market application, after download open that up and search for mxit there. This is the South African market software and you should be able to find mxit there.

Hi Brandon, Mxit recently released a new Android app, I only tested it briefly but it did not have a issue. Maybe read the user comments on the Android market, but it should work well.
I just hot a vodafone845 Android. And is trying to download mxit. I where trying to http://www.mxit.com/wap and then i go to mxit Android and it opens the Android market. So then i go in by mxit after. It searched and i say install then it downloads mxit and then it stay download sexsesful. After it downloadded what must i do? I always go in there and then it yust installs it again. Please help me!!!

i have a motorola android phone, it’s black and has qwerty keyboard and it’s touch screen too
so, i signed up by the android market, then i clicked download ( to download mxit ) but then this thing pops up that says i have’t entered my password correctly, but the emial is something like auto1009@gmail.com ( which isn\t my email at all )
AND IT KEEPS POPPING UP.
i’m getting super annoyed, so please help?
